Horizontal silos, moveable shed and underground storage silos: solutions suitable for different waste material

The company Edil Leca offers various solutions for the storage of bulk materials and liquids. It is important to highlight in particular Horizontal Silos consisting of precast reinforced vibrated concrete structures which are simply laid on existing flooring. It is a perfect solution for horizontal storage problems for all bulk materials. The walls are freestanding and load-bearing, there is no need for foundations, therefore they are simply placed on the floor allowing to achieve simply and quickly horizontal silos, storage boxes and containment walls. The walls are available in different heights (from 1 to 6 meters) in the standard version (perimeter and partition wall) and in the special pieces like edges, crossings and end walls etc., in order to achieve horizontal silos without need of further masonry work or casting. The walls can be prepared also for safety railings (in the case of underground laying). Horizontal silos, manufactured with mechanical strength, reinforcement protection and high exposure class of the concrete, are subject to quality self-monitoring according to the law and assure a higher acid resistance and provides a considerable duration in time. In particular these products are a perfect solution to store: biomass, aggregates, waste from building demolition, glass, metal, processing residues, shavings, solid waste and not solid, etc. These precast walls are guaranteed to withstand product weights up to 1800 kg/m³ and against the overload of the loading machines that collect and gather the products. There are a lot of advantages: easy to store up and pick up, minimum cost per m³ of ensiled material, possibility to increase it’s capacity adding new walls, can be reassembled in other configurations, possibility to be moved from one place to another within the company, easy assembly and disassembly, protection from aggressive materials with the highest concrete class of exposure. In addition, to store and separate different material under cover, the company offers the moveable shed with modular walls which assure quick assembly and disassembly, is cheap and offers flexibility of use. The moving shed is produced with load-bearing precast walls with variable high from 1,00 m to 6,00 m with: hot-galvanized steel construction, single or multiple span, covering, tunnel-shaped or in structural layer steel-work. The covering is realized in waterproof PVC film variously prepared in corrugated iron or with insulating panels. The manufactured article can be used with success in environmental field.
