The rebirth of the Novellara landfill thanks to photovoltaic plant
PAL continues to make investments in renewable energies. The S.A.Ba.R. project entails the execution of works to develop a 997.92 Kw ground-mounted, grid-connected photovoltaic plant on the former inter- municipal landfill based at Novellara (RE).
After a careful analysis of the area covered by the service, we studied an optimal solution based on the different factors affecting the efficiency of the photovoltaic panels, to guarantee clients the best possible solutions maximising the absorption of the annual solar radiation available.
The project is made up of various works such as: installation of a reception substation next to the existing structures, installation of medium voltage switchgear, excavations and laying of the poliferae, installation of a new MV / LV transformer substation, construction of a system with consequent laying of support structures suitable to house the new photovoltaic sails and the multi-year maintenance service.
The aim of the plant is to achieve considerable energy savings for the served structured, by resorting to the renewable energy source represented by the sun. The use of that technology stems from the need to combine: compatibility with architectural and environmental protection needs; no noise pollution; fossil fuel saving; production of electricity without any emission of polluting substances.
