Fassi together with Marrel and Cranab at Ifat 2018

A union of European excellence, the one presented at the 27th Ifat in Munich. Multiple product solutions, also combined, are now proposed by the Fassi group.

Fassi Gru, worldwide leader in the lifting sector, will present itself for the third time at IFAT, the most important international fair dedicated to the recycling sector, scheduled in Munich from 14th to 18th May 2018. The Fassi Group stand will be located in the open area, position 810/8 and will cover an area of 300 square metres. Fassi Gru S. p. A. will present itself at this important event together with the Swedish company Cranab AB and the French Marrel SAS. Three leading brands in their respective sectors that, by bringing together their expertise, today offer their best with multiple product solutions, also combined, reaping the benefits of the new opportunities deriving from their presence since 2014 in new sectors with a range of products of extraordinary breadth in the recycling, ecology and timber sectors.

Today's synergy between Fassi and Marrel and Cranab does not alter the industrial identity of each of these brands. Today as since the birth of this group, we are moving towards looking at the heart of each of these industrial realities, intervening to enhance the mutual strengths through a sharing of intentions and strategies. It is a union of European excellence, a natural international context in which Fassi was born and grew up, which is also the cradle of its business model.

The growth of the Fassi group's business in 2017 compared to the previous year was around 12%. At the base of this improvement is the commercial expansion in new markets and the production drive that finds fertile ground in the extremely dynamic synergies present in different areas between companies. The market with this important feedback rewards above all the constant attention of the entire group to safeguard the principles of quality, excellence and innovation.

As far as the product is concerned, the continuous development by Fassi's design of electronic systems, which enhance the automation of cranes applied to their use, is a fundamental feature of the latest proposals presented by the Italian brand. The common objective of all the new automatic control systems is to offer operators functions that improve the overall efficiency of their interventions by reducing execution times to the advantage of precision and effectiveness.

In particular, Fassi Gru has been offering the following systems in combination with its cranes since 2017:

  • ACF for the automatic opening and closing of the crane.
  • AWC to maintain the position of the hook during the winch pulley and the extension/shortening of the hydraulic extensions. Also with jib.
  • IoC to remotely manage the position of crane equipped vehicles, to have under control the operating conditions of the crane and to intervene (always remotely) in case of malfunction.

In addition, an automatic verticality/horizonatlity control system has been developed, a function that allows the perpendicular/orizective movement of the load with a single command. This function is particularly useful in automated handling of underground waste containers made with cranes of 16-20 tm with max. 2 hydraulic extensions.
