Ecoricicli bulky waste plant
On December 2016, Eco-ricicli Veritas inaugurated a plant for the treatment of bulky non-hazardous waste derived from urban collection or collections assimilated, EWC code 20 03 07, and waste of similar origin. Because of their size, bulky waste cannot be collected through the ordinary collection service. This type of waste usually consists mainly of furniture, mattresses and other pieces of furniture in general, sports equipment, etc.
Secondly, there will be other particular flows of waste that, for the abnormal size, even though coming from recycling, cannot be treated effectively in a plant addressed to the recovery of waste collection flows. Therefor they require a further selection.
The material undergoes a selection by using a machine that loads the waste or by manual operation from qualified workers, in order to separate it into homogeneous categories that will be send to recovery and/or disposal facilities of third parties, as well as to remove any irregular or improper material.
In order to provide a dimensional adjustment of waste and allow their manipulation and subsequent handling, one of the step is grinding the materials. The qualified workers will also perform sorting operations and manual disassembly by using normal tools (pliers, scissors ...).
The goal is to obtain finally a quality of waste that will result to be profitable at the treatment plants that will transform it into energy.
